with all respect to bts, this is literally not being feminist at all. i know they do a lot of good things but wearing some expensive shirts with a writing means almost nothing. don't even get me started on the fact that if a female idol wore any feminist slogan on their clothes they'd get torn to shreds...

Hmm. I’m with eclipsoul - it’s not a shirt that makes you a feminist. FWIW, it’s the stylist’s choice but sometimes the artists have input depending on their age and experience, which gives them more say in what they do or don’t do.

I put more stock in actions than tshirts even if it’s just a small gesture. For example, NCT Johnny took a pole dancing class. He didn’t laugh and joke about doing girl’s stuff or mock the instructor or flop aroune mocking it. He took it and the instructor very seriously and talked about how hard it was. He joked mostly about not being able to do it because it was so hard or that she was quite tough because it was so hard, while the smaller instructor barked orders at him but also encouraged him. She was a great, tough teacher.

I’m not saying he’s a feminist because I don’t know, but the way he treated that situation (a woman being forcefully and confidently in charge teaching him a traditionally female dance routine) with respect for her and the work said a lot more to me than him wearing a t-shirt that said girl power.

yes, but when it is something positive like say this feminist shirt, fans will give credits to the artists for selecting it, but when it is something controversial or just bad, the artists will shit on the stylist
