I know the song/mv have been out for some time now and I'll admit that I needed a bit of time for this release to grow on me. It's still not my fav from DC, but I can defnitely still appreciate this even if parts of the song are not 100% my taste... but anyway, I think the girls have grown so much, individually and as a group (very proud).. maybe Gahyeon growing more confident and beautiful would be the most obvious change? sadly Handong is missing this time but it's really cool how they sort of saved her spot by using the masked dancer hehe.. Dami is amazing for real whether it's her incredibly cool presence, her rap or even her vocal. Yoohyeon is just crazy talented, idk.. pink princess Jiu is such a talented visual (her high note in Red Sun ahh and that purple hair, I love the whole song and choreo by Sua btw) and yea Sua is such a good singer, I sincerely like the choreo she creates and her voice is good and easily recognized too.. I guess people never talk about her dancing even though she's the main dancer because everyone in this group dances pretty well? who knows.... and ofc my queen Siyeon impresses me constantly, she is seriously an insanely talented person, she's truly amazing and impressive.. (her beauty, vocal, expressions, even fashion style..) these girls have just captured my heart with their fresh/dark/anime-like concept that they actually pull of really well and it doesn't feel unnuatural, like something that was just handed to them and forced upon them.. their beauty and talent as well ofc, they are really one of the more well-rounded groups and I also appreciate that their company seems to treat them pretty well and gives them space to grow, plus all those wonderful covers.. idk I have been losing interest in kpop but this group still keeps me interested, can't wait to see how they will develop in the future and hope they get the success they deserve..
since I never really saw anyone properly appreciate and speak of the true meaning of Scream, here I go... as always, love the anime vibes throughout the whole thing with the swords and visuals, and just how refreshing and unique the whole concept is, I love the lyrics about struggling to believe in oneself while being judged by everyone rather than having a crush, and I love how they used the whole witch hunt theme and symbolism.. I just find it relatable for everyone because we all know the pain of being judged by others.. this meaning can easily be applied to every person, but also any society altogether, right? the pain and isolation brought by the posion called judgement and hatred...... and I just think that considering how harsh the kpop industry is and especially after some recent tragedies, it's very brave and important to release this kind of song.... wish people would realize it, talk about it, and give them the recognition they deserve but maybe someday heh..
