The animal I chose was the sea turtle. I decided to name my sea turtle Bob. Bob is a little angry. Why is he angry you may ask? He is an endangered species. Why are they endangered? They are slaughtered for their eggs, meat, skin, and shells. Sea turtles also suffer from poaching and over-exploitation. They also face habitat destruction and accidental capture—known as bycatch—in fishing gear.
There are seven species of sea turtles. All except one are considered endangered.

Sea turtles are the same size whether male or female. Sea turtles are thought to reach sexual maturity from about 10−20 years old depending on species. Mature sea turtles may migrate thousands of miles to reach breeding sites. After mating at sea, adult female sea turtles return to land to lay their eggs.
They can be found in all oceans minus those in polar regions.
