The only way in 2021 i think non asian could be in a accepted kpop group (1 Viewer)

I was thinking about this due to the british group

and worked out the only ways it could happen


firstly i dont mean a full non asian group..
for this too work it needs to be 2 members in a group of atleast 7
so 1 member isnt singled out on there own
plus there is enough korean members to balance the group out

1. for girl groups...
UHSN members joined a company to debut in a ledgit group...
all these members are already accepted by koreans...
they all have learnt korean.. etc
and obv learnt about the culture on the show...

2. HRVY joins a nct unit...
he was shockingly accepted within the fans to join nct
if sm made a group of
some of the dreamies who got on well with him
plus some new members
i think this would go very well

People bring up that Lana does live in Korea, did the trainee program and is fluent in Korean. Kaachi doesn't do any of these things. That's a big difference.
But kpop isn't ready for a non-Asian idol YET. Companies keep on pushing these people but it bites them in the butt. Let's wait a few more years until idols from Vietnam and such are accepted.

These sound pretty good ideas. Introducing the new member through variety show is good call.

But I think the issue is actually bigger within i-fans than korean fans. Like Alexa has said that audience accepted her and she mostly had issues with company and other girls due to lack of communication (she didn't know enough korean). It's the western audience that will be sending death threats though, cause they think non-asians being kpop artist is racist and cultural appropriation.

I think you forget that Alex from BP Rania and Lana were both spit out by the Korean public.
One person being fairly liked does not mean that Korea is open for non-Asians yet. To this day, there are still people being racist towards SE1 idols
