The Summer Games are done

As usual, these games had its ups and downs. The biggest downfall being all the swimmers that became ill after swimming in the Seine.
But the highlights, many countries brought home their first medals, many countries medaled in events that they never medaled in before, many athletes made incredible comebacks after surgeries and battling illnesses.
Overall, it was beautiful to see all the athletes enjoy themselves on tiktok

trading pins and obsessing over chocolate muffins.
This Olympics really felt like it was for the women. They had so many incredible moments coming out on top.

The closing ceremony was okay. My absolute favorite part tho was when they brought out H.E.R. to sing the USA anthem (because LA is hosting in 2028)
I LOVE HER!!!! SHE IS GOD, SHE IS QUEEN, SHE IS EVERYTHING. Thank you America for not sending someone embarrassing.

But then they proceeded to pass it off to Tom Cruise and Red Hot Chili Peppers
And then brought it back with Snoop, Dr. Dre, and Billlie Eilish.
I'm petitioning for the LA mascot to be Snoop.He makes the most sense. He's from Cali and everyone loves him.

Also, Phoenix played and they are one of my absolute most favorite bands. Some might not care but this was a fun moment.

“I know! The river where it’s been illegal to swim for over a century due to super high pollution levels!”
“Great idea! Now time to move onto other stuff.”

They sent surfers to Tahiti. >.> couldn’t they have sent marathon swimmers to somewhere cleaner. Of all the long bodies bad choice. I hope everyone who got sick sues.
