I'm lowkey confused by America's situation rn. So you CAN'T get an abortion in the so called 1st world country rn??? Why are they suddenly doing this??? This is so random.

Whether abortion is banned or not, the number of women getting abortions is still the same, they just do it illegally and have to risk their life getting it. Republicans are aware of the statistics, and are supposedly "pro-life", yet don't mind the large number of women dying each year because they have to seek out life-threatening ways to get an abortion. The U.S. is supposed to have a separation between religion and state, but every morning my school makes me thank their god that I live in this nation. Our government is ruled by White Christian men, and unless that changes, there will never truly be a separation of religion and state.
