We could use our introduction forum as a security barrier: it would be free for guests too, but only visitors that introduced themself could join the forum.

Or maybe it would be even better to make the introduction forum free for registered members, but there's no full access until they introduced themselves? Something like that, you get the point.

All forum members should immediately report spam, so our mods can ban those douchebags before they continue posting. That's the reason why we have this button:

My thinking is tat maybe KS could limit new users to 5/10 threads per day, since limiting to intro sub forum isn't conducive to new users(/potential card collectors) into being active on the forum.

Idk wat staff/mods/admins/boss-nim think of how to limit spam. 🤔

Spammers can also post there, unless you mean they have to post and be approved by the mods. We get notifications for suspicious accounts and reports so they’re easy to take care of as long as a mod or admin is online

I mean that newly registered members can post only in our introduction section. The requirement for the full membership and unlimited forum access is a posting in the introduction section where they tell us a bit about themselves (like many of our members did in the past).

Spammers normally want to register quickly and start flooding a forum. If they need to introduce themselves first and need to wait until a mod activates their full access, most of them will probably move along.

So the registering procedure would be:

1. I join KPS. But I can only post in the introduction section at that point.
2. I start a thread in the introduction section and tell people something about myself or/and my favorite K-Pop groups.
3. A mod activates my full forum access.

I know forums where new members need to wait up to 24 hours until they can access all forum sections.

We get notifications for suspicious accounts and reports so they’re easy to take care of as long as a mod or admin is online
