There is no federal official language of the US, but some states have official languages. I’ll list the top 3.

The following states are tied for 2nd place, with a grand total of 2 official languages. They are…..

Maybe because of the French influence there? Louisiana is one of the states with no official languages, but French does have special status Just not official

California technically has just English, but the law passing it is basically just advisory because there are federal laws that outrank it and therefore it’s unenforceable

Do(es) any State hv English as the only official language? (As a non-American(or even non westerner, my first thought was wat about California w/English + Spanish or wat about New Mexico? It's in the frikking state name ain't it, shdnt Mexican(ok Spanish) be one of official state languages?))

Neither of those are official, but both are very widely used

Most people aren’t I only recognize a few in any form. I think a lot of the languages are really endangered too
