on a serious note: get a mouse trap and put a bit of food on it (cheese is a good idea, but idk we've caught mice with plain bread before). those sticky ones are good, the mouse gets stuck there and is unable to escape. you may poison the food if you like, or you want to catch it and set it free afterwards, you can do that

place that and wait for a night i guess. doesn't always work cause some rats are too fucking smart for their own good, but eventually they'll get caught
