I just gonna start off saying that I am only using this thread to vent. I'm not asking for pity or anything, I'm just using this to get it out of my system and to see if anyone knows how to deal with the loss of a pet.
Long story short, we have lost two of our outdoor cats within the past two days. One them just started coming around so we didn't get to be very close to her yet. But she was definitely an affectionate one. We could tell she was sick and malnourished so we made sure to give her medicine and plenty of food to eat to help her get well. Unfortunately, we found her in our cat house and she had passed two days ago. I felt so sorry for her because she was still a kitten.
Fast forward two days later (today), and another one of our cats had been hit but car and the jackass driving didn't bother to stop. We have had this cat since last summer because he and his brothers were actually born in our shed. This way we were able to grow closer to him and his brother cats. My mom and I had just seen him and one of the brothers playing in the yard today right before we left the house, and I saw him laying out in the sun this morning. However, when we came back home he was gone. This saddens me a lot since we have watched him grow from a newborn kitten to almost an adult.
I don't really know how to deal with it. I'm just sad and completely shocked that this had all happened so fast and in such a short amount of time
