I don't think they will have a comeback for at least 3-2 more years with the thought that kai might be enlisted before baekhyun discharges from the military? and taeyong will be going the next year after him. (unless they make kai pre-record everything)

That would be incredibly stupid imo. They should make a cb first and then go to military.

unfortunately, they have a very strict (and complicated) military law/system, when they call you for enlistment you must go without future delay (I think they give a week to get ready(?) and I think different branches have a different system (I'm no expert on it tho)
So it's a bit hard to predict when kai (and sehun) will have to enlist. many are guessing the earliest would be either before their birthday or somewhere in the early first half of 2023.

plus they will probably prioritize their main groups first, exo has talked about a comeback/new album (but then again we don't know if kai and sehun will have to pre-record or if they will be participating) and shinee has also talked about a comeback. which is why I think it might be hard for superm to have a comeback soon.

So I guess it all depends on 'when' kai has to enlist ¯\_(T^T)_/¯ and if sm even has any plans for a superm comeback

yeah can't believe how that mess is still going on for 3 years now, I mean the members said they would go, public opinion is against the idea of exempting bts, I think even the ministry of defense said that they are against the exemption. And it's not like they will go into an economic crisis when bts is serving.
the government should just get the hint and stop being greedy about the money and leave the members alone
