The Greek name for South Korea is νότια Κορέα, pronounced Notia Korea. I don’t know about everyone else, but if I heard that I’d automatically assume it means North Korea. Of course languages just do that sometimes, but I probably wouldn’t think to question it if I didn’t know

Also back in ye old days in Greece, B was pronounced the same as the English B, but over time B because pronounced as V. Change the B to a V and change it from basic north to feminine form of northern and Boras becomes voreia. You just need to know about the sound shift

That’s too hard also I think it would be like history, where I know I’d dislike academia and study regarding history because you end up forced to specialize heavily in small areas. Which makes sense but I don’t think it’s something I would enjoy
