The only bright side is I have been liking some rookie groups, so at least it won't be completely without anything.
And Shinee will always be a thing

newer groups are nice but 2nd gen is still the best. the music, concepts, the overall chemistry within the group, chereo, even the interactions with other groups were on a whole another level.

Tbh I prefer 3rd gen to 2nd, both have their bright sides but the music back then was not really my style, and tbh I find newer choreos way more impressive. I do miss the interactions between idols though, I would give so much for a Teen Top and Infinite collab stage

Tbh I prefer 3rd gen to 2nd, both have their bright sides but the music back then was not really my style, and tbh I find newer choreos way more impressive. I do miss the interactions between idols though, I would give so much for a Teen Top and Infinite collab stage

one of the reasons why i love 3rd gen is how not uptight they were. despite all the drama with sm and slave contracts, i feel like the idols were way more open to the fans and with each other. the choreos werent that intense cause they weren't focused on impressing people but just giving enjoyable performances. i mean big bang alone has more stage presence than all the 3rd gen groups combined and they rarely had precise chereos. the songs were all over the place and they werent afraid of weird and messy styles. now an idol gets a mullet and everyone flips out. everyone is so awkward each other now. i lowkey wish i could go back to the time before rv and nct debuted cause sm family was much closer before that.

I mean I'm a mullet hater so Im okay with that
Im not opposed to messy styles but I think there re good things about both, plus Ace is saving us with weird styles
I also have to say I really enjoy certain 3rd gen groups when it comes to stages, I like hypeness but not too over the top because I also want a performance that properly shows their ability, not just screaming and jumping. BAP are great at doing both imo at the sme time

I am quite scared about Apink in two years and Winner too. Apink already renewed once and even if they seem to be always as enthusiastic as before about the group, I would find normal that they would disband and have solo activities after ten years together. As for Winner, I am not sure that they are going to renew because of YG and I can’t blame.

i have high hopes for apink tbh. the girls all seem happy with staying together. they will probably be the last of 2nd gen groups to disband or go on hiatus.
