Japan is about to have its biggest Typhoon in 60 years, yet some people (mainly foreigners) will complain about World Cup Rugby matches being canceled because of it!

I'd rather help someone survive a fierce typhoon, then watch the lame rugby world cup.
People and their sport obsessions never cease to amaze me, but this is excessive obsession.

Human kindness is a rare thing indeed. (you'd say extinct in some contexts too)

I know. There was even an article 2 days ago about how Scotland would take legal action if their match gets canceled on Sunday against Japan, because if the match gets canceled, then Scotland will be out since Japan and Scotland will share a point each and Scotland won't have enough points to qualify for the Quarter Finals.
I can understand their frustrations, but people are going to die and yet, all people worry about is sport in a time like this.

My homeroom teacher, he's British but teaches in Japan, made a sarcastic joke about not being able to go to the rugby match.
Typhoons are such a normal thing here and a lot of my classmates too were happy that we could skip school today because of it.
But I think some people only made this kind of jokes because they didn't expect it to be this bad.
Unfortunate that some people can be this ignorant but I still hope nothing bad happens to them during their stay here.
