yeah I also think the fact that A2k has no voting and is also not aired on one of the TV stations, but only JYPs youtube channel, probably means it will be a lot less popular vierwship wise.. I guess thats the tradeoff if you want to stay in control.

I do not know what you mean with the producer house, I'm not very knowledgeable, but as JYP always puts great empahize of people having good character, I would hope the producers working for them are also decent people

I think the situation with Nayeon got a little bit better towards the end of sixteen, but I don't think she get any arc like that.. I don't know how much it affected her and is she had issues with her image after debut or if no one cared anymore

Yeah bringing back elimiated contestants always adds a lot of drama and outrage... so I guess thats why they do it.. you can be sure its the talk of the town next day

All the things you mentioned, is why I never would watch any of those TV produced survival shows the clip you showed is really confusing to me, I do not understand whats happening, regardless of which music is used But yeah the vibe is very different for sure, it should never be understimated how much of an effect editing and music can have..

i'm talking about how when jyp was promoting wonder girls in the us (when some of the members were still minors), he took them to r. kelly's house. honestly, while you see many kpop fans argue that promoting wonder girls in the us is what eventually became the cause of their downfall, i disagree, saying that this move paid off in the long run: jyp making the connections he did with american artists back then is what is helping his present day groups have so much success in the west. but one thing i wish he hadn't done was willingly work with a (known) child predator. i hope that's stopped now, and he doesn't have those sorts of connections in korea.

hmm sucks for poor nayeon :(( i actually doubt she had much issues with her debut afterwards, but it's sad she had to go through all that

yeah that's definitely what bringing eliminated contestants back in your show does! it's good tv, in the sense that you get everyone talking. but it's also really shitty for those involved :(

yeah, tv produced or company produced survival shows, it's really a case of picking your devil. honestly from what i've seen, both can be really bad :(

the clip simply showed some members of the group nu'est's entrance into the place where all the initial stages of produce 101 s2 were to be conducted. the other groups were simply surprised that a group that had been active for so long was participating on such a show - when actually nu'est had no choice but to, as their company had just given up on them. in the first clip, the "jungle" music makes the trainees look like they're terrified of the members, especially of buff manly man baekho. in the second one, with the bright pop song, they look like they have a crush on them. both are biased edits (one biased against, the other biased towards), but yeah, simply goes to show the impact editing has on the trainees. i'm actually watching produce 101 season 2 right now (out of plain curiosity), and yeah the jungle music is used very generously when it comes to baekho. anyway this is good baekho editing, the editing on his latest music video (which is a remake of improvement on one of jyp's somgs from the 90s!)

I did not follow Twice on debut, so I'm not sure Nayeon faced any issues at the start, but I think after the reality program was over and she could show her real character, she could overcome it quickly.. at least I hope thats how it went
