Some countries include the year you were born as you being 1.

So for example, on your 1st birthday you are then 2. Thus you see countries like Korea adding an extra year to their "actual" age.

In my culture, each person gets counted as older by 1 yr on the 1st day of lunar new yr-our common birthday, so id be one yr older during february 12(?) this yr.

But as far as i know, most young people dont count it tat way, n i nvr hv. I dont know anyone in my culture who does, btw.
