Never do something that you know is probably not the smartest thing to do...

I was just opening up some packages and this one box was really taped up and I was having trouble cutting it open, so instead of being patient with myself and cutting it away from my body I ended up cutting towards myself and skinned the top of my thumb... What makes it worse is before I even did that I literally stopped trying to cut this darn box open, stepped back, assessed that the box would cut easier if I did it towards myself but I knew it wasn't safe to do so... And I did it anyways and loss a few bits of skin, the plus side to this is that because I was very aware that I would most likely cut myself is that I was extremely calm when it happened and was pretty much like "Yup I anticipated this." Logic at its finest

I'm fine btw, it's not as bad as it sounds ​

Honestly I feel you, many a time before I injure myself I do something knowing that it will end badly. I cut my thumb the other day because I dumbly cut a tomato in the direction of my own dam thumb and e xpected to not cut myself

i cannot explain why i have these moments because they are rare. usually i am overcautious. but sometimes it's like my brain takes a vacation when i'm handling dangerous objects

God I hate cuts... I hate the thought of cuts and the sheer annoyance i experience when i cut myself even a little. I'd honestly probably be fine with someone stabbing me but not making little cuts on my body.

I once cut myself in art class using an Xacto knife. I was tryna cut some posterboard, aND MY CRUSH EVEN OFFERED TO HELP, but I didn't hear him... and ended up at the ER with a cut-up middle finger. MIDDLE. FINGER. Needless to say, after I got my splint, I kept getting weird looks because it looked like I was flipping the bird - not pretty!

Ouch, sorry tat happened to you. Im not sure if my memory is playing tricks on me but yrs ago when i worked doing displays i might hv cut my finger/hand while at work n it bled profusely. Luckily theres a powder tat stops bleeding, some kinda anti coagulant thing ig. But i dont rmbr clearly whether it happened to me or if its some kinda false memory/imagined it. But i clearly rmbr my colleague with the powder tho. Just not the exact circumstances so i might hv imagined some of it.
