I was looking at the English version of a site. For an attraction it listed its opening hours as Monday-Thursday at 10AM-11PM and Friday through Sunday as 10AM-11PM I was confused because that's the same thing. So I went to the original language to see if a mistranslation occurred, and unlike the English it put the hours as Sunday-Saturday 9AM-10PM. Which is nice they clarified that way that the hours are the same every day but why are they suddenly different than the English version? Makes no sense

ig it depends what country this site's hosted on or marketing at :/ Perhaps the translation performs some sort of time zone conversion in the background? Also, if you're on vpn, that's another hurdle in the way! lmaoo

Why would vpn change it I wouldn’t imagine any conversion is going on, it’s an English version of the site, not a auto translated version. Presumably they input that info in that way, I wouldn’t imagine they use a translator for that.

It would change it if you're being asked to acknowledge any location permission upon visiting the site. Then, whatever vpn location you're associated with would dictate the reflected time zone for purchases, for instance. I'm not saying its what it is, i'm just saying its a remote possibility ;)

Oh nah, I wasn't asked anything about that. But also why would switching languages change the location they're associating with me? I don't have a vpn anyways but theoretically if I did

nothing to do with languages unnie, but rather, the country or region your vpn connection is located at/in.
if you connect through Bangkok for instance, EDT is unknown to their server. Or to Canada or Russia where they have multiple timezones, the area/state/province you're connecting through may trigger an automated timezone rule when automated location is enabled.

I get that it could mess things up if I was connected through vpn it could mess with timezone stuff. I just meant since the only change was language I didn't see how it could change. So yeah, probably not it this time, probably them just messing up at keeping updated info or something
