Imo it's not as bad as people are making it out to be. The story mode thing is fresh and the cosmetic changes fill out the screen more

I watched one youtube video of it, from someone who didn't like it ofc since where people make positive videos about anything xd I did agree some of criticism then, like the bright blue screen being bit jarring but i should probably load it up and see what i think it on my screen. In general it looks like sth I can get used to, it's not awful. Story mode can be fun, but doesn't reflect that well how i make my characters so i'm not sure if I will use it a lot.

I still haven't updated it yet but I've seen videos with the new stuff. I like the story mode stuff and I think it's a cool feature. And as for the cosmetic changes, I don't think they're gonna bother me at all.

This reminds me that I really need to update my game lol. I meant to do it the day the update came out, but I've barely played any games since then.
