And they go ahead with their new girl group and do EXACTLY THE SAME THING EVERY OTHER GIRL GROUP IS DOING.

Take aespa out this video and replace them with any group and it makes no difference. This could be anybody's damn song.

Remember when f(x) had their sound? Red Velvet had theirs? Now aespa has...2020 overproduced girl crush sound?

People are just so used to thinking that everything SM does is innovative etc, but totally forget that their innovative and groundbreaking groups all have had years to settle into concepts and become their iconic selves that we know and love! Not to mention look at EXO for example, debuted with a VERY unique concept that got dropped literally straight after debut lmao

I mean, this and that aside, it really took Aespa to debut for people to realise RV had a unique sound? Everyone claimed their music was f(x) rejects or that SM was simply replacing f(x) with them and giving them f(x)'s music but suddenly everyone is praising their debut/music. and SUUUUUUUURE you get rewarded for existing, that's why there are more groups than ever being debuted that flop! Bcs they all do so fucking well simply for existing! That's why my faves Pink Fantasy are doing SO WELL with their unique concept! BECAUSE YOU GET REWARDED FOR EXISTING!

F(x) didn't get that win, despite being a big 3 group, bcs they were doing shit out of the norm so things are more difficult for them! NCT took a bit to get popularity as well, bcs they AS WELL were doing stuff out of the norm!

SM debuting groups cannot get a break! They either do something GP friendly and get hate for being just that OR they do smth groundbreakingly unique and new and get hate for being weird, too complicated and so on! YOU CANNOT HAVE BOTH AT ONCE!
