Taking care of a pet is usually a big amount of responsibility and work to make sure they are sfae, healthy and happy so I was wondering how it was for you personally :sanapray:

my family used to own two cats and they both were outdoor cats
they pretty much only came home when they needed to feed, otherwise they stayed outside 24/7

well, I have a bun and a horse. My bunny is very easy to take care of as I taught him to go to the toilet in less than a week (so his cage is easy to clean). He's also more of the relaxed type. He'll occasionally play but he usually rests or wants pets.
We've always had dogs so compared to dogs, bunnies are very easy to take care of.

My horse is different tho. He's traumatised so stuff like washing him etc takes time, patience and a combination of stern and soft approach

My pup was complicated. He was difficult to feed and stubborn with potty training the first year. Plus he was a curly baby so his fur was going through its own puberty, with matting and figuring out a good hair care routine. He got along with all humans.
The second year covid hit so he was pretty much the same.

After his third year he was more chill and picked up new tricks pretty quickly. But he started hating strange men which was a plus for me honestly >.> HE sniffed them half a block away which let me know I needed to go a different route.

Not counting the pets I had as a child... As an adult, I have a dog, and I wouldn't describe it as hard. There are different responsibilities that she requires some thought toward (like I can't just take off for a weekend trip on a whim), but on the whole, it's a net positive for me. Like she's a big dog, so she needs lots of walks, but also, I probably shouldn't sit for eight straight hours anyway. :lisalaugh:

It might get more complicated as she gets older, if she ends up with health complications or something, but taking care of her is just part of my life, you know?
