More cooking stuff I tried a new recipe from England in the 1300s. It’s very interesting, I’d say in between modern gingerbread and caramelized ginger. The ingredients I used are honey, bread crumbs, ginger, long pepper (similar ish to black pepper, but less sharp and more clove like), sugar for sprinkling, and whole cloves for garnish. I like it a lot.

Gladly. Its tasty but that’s a lot of ginger

There’s no actual baking. You basically boil honey, add bread crumbs, add ginger and long pepper, then roll it out and refrigerate. Then cut it and sprinkle sugar. No need to do any baking or anything like that

I could never, I love history but I never studied it seriously in uni or anything Thats where I got the recipe from though, someone gifted me his cookbook.

I should really buy the cook book because i love his videos. I just never did it. Thankfully i can now live through you and your experiments

I recommend, it’s very interesting. This is the second recipe I’ve tried from it and both were delicious
