Prefacing this with a disclaimer that yes I am aware there are people who drive more than I drove today often enough. I too have driven much longer than this. But I still don’t like it so I will complain and if you have an issue with that you can always click off this thread
So anyways, today my mom had a medical procedure done. I was her designated driver for the day because she wasn’t allowed to drive after. So first I drive her to the place (40 minutes). I’m told she’ll be a long time(3 hours) because we showed up late due to a miscommunication. Okay, 3 hours is a fair amount of time. Enough to go home and stop at the grocery store for a couple things along the way. With the grocery store addition that’s another 45 ish minutes. I get home and start to eat the chicken I bought. Before I finish I get the call that I should start heading back, an hour earlier than I expected. I want to finish but I kinda have to go, I can’t exactly abandon her. So there’s another 40 minutes there and another 40 minutes back. Later on I have to drive her to her work. With traffic it’s about 25 minutes. Then back, another 25 ish minutes. I have time to make most of dinner but not all, I had an hour about before I have to head back to pick her up. Which for the record she told me to be there 6:15, which I was, and then herself didn’t appear until just after 6:30. But she finally comes out and we go back (20 minutes each way). So in total 4 hours 15 minutes of driving approximately. Have I driven more in a day? Yes. I’ve driven up to 11 hours with some breaks for gas and food and customs harassment
But it does get tedious when it’s a lot of there and backs. At least there’s a change in scenery with a long drive to Canada. Here, not so much. But anyways, that was my day. So fun
