Too old and too ugly for kpop? (1 Viewer)

Saw some comments today that made me really not so happy... And it was apparently in my own fandom. One of them was called out heavily, while the other not so much (altho it depends on the platform too)
So as usual kpop fans are ageist. Btw i'm 27 and i feel totally fine spending my money that i couldnt as a teen. Safe to say this was on twitter and ppl called the writer of this tweety who was 19. They eventually deleted the tweet...after calling the backlash "you're still going at it?🙄" , Not owning up at all about their opinion... But oh well.

Also another gem, u apparently need to be the finest piece of creation too to be able to stand in a concert's front row...

And the comments here were praising the creator for being brave and saying what everyone thought...

Safe to say, i went on a blocking spree on tiktok

OMG, I don't understand how people can be like that. If I was a K-pop idol, I wouldn't care that much and I would still be glad that they came to my concert. No one's ugly anyways, they might just not be their type, but they still deserve to be treated equally and they are fans too, they deserve to sit at the front row just like any other fan. I struggle with really low-self esteem and depression so people calling other people ugly really upsets me because I believe that no one is ugly in this world and these people should realize it. They should come out of their mom's basement once in a while.

Agreed! I have also seen many different fandoms making stupid rules to keep "unworthy" people out. They are still fans and I bet that if those people bothered to get to know them, they would learn how much they have in common and how kind these people are.

there is a saying in my native language that says "kozak w necie pizda w świecie" which roughly translates to "brave on the internet, p*ssy in real world" and this is how i imagine those miserable losers to be because you could never say such words to another person in real life without facing the consequences. the fact that they are dumb as fuck goes without saying because if kpop fandoms consisted solely of jobless teens they wouldn't be able to afford keeping the lights on. if anything there is that makes me feel bad for stray kids that's having such awful heartless people in their fanbase when they seem like such kind guys and their message in their music fully goes against such hatred.

Over 25 folks often have the chunk-a change that they use to heavily support the artists they love like I am not over 25 but I can happily spend way more money on my idols now that I have a full time job

Perhaps they're just jealous I went from 6 albums during highschool to almost 50 as a young adult so that shows you how much it can change when you get older

Yeah, i usually follow a close knit group on twt so i don't see much things like that, but i didn't know ppl on tiktok we're this dense too... I think this latter one was just jealous they couldn't buy a ticket for front row XDDDDD

XDDDDD I LOVE THAT SAYING!!!!! This made me laugh so hard XD Honestly singers that cried for a whole hour at their concert because they were so thankful for their fans support shouldn't have fans like this. Honestly i bought my first album around age 21, i couldn't dream of asking for my family to buy me smth for my hobby... They'll probably change their mind when they reach that age and realize u can enjoy music regardless of age!

Imagine begin over 25, being relatively settled in a career and having your own cash to spend on whatever the hell you want without having to ask for mummy and daddy's permission or waiting for birthdays or christmas or other holidays. Wow. Those guys shouldn't be spending their money on things they like because I think they're way too old to do so. /s/
