After an incredible first part of the year, which saw the come up of many top posters thanks to the 2nd Great Exodus, @XIAO managed to build an amazing lead over the competition. Still the win wasn't guaranteed, monster rookies like @Moguri and @MK3AMisSleepy were looking extremely strong and could definitely eat the lead in a few months...

The Duel (July-August)
The summer was marked by a small decrease in activity on the forum, with a small amount of users being able to really keep up with the top posters and overall activity decreasing. Still, @XIAO would continue their tear through the forum, increasing their activity to a level never before seen in the forum history. The reason why? The rise of another monster, perhaps maybe the most dangerous of them all, the one and only, Emperor of threads, @kimsguardian.
The battle between those 2 monsters would animate the summer and their clash would finally wake up the old giants...
The Old Gods vs The New Gods (September-October)
In September, seeing the unrelenting wrath of the new generation, the God of Abs and [redacted], President of the Hot Man Club, @Day "Daisy" would join the show and make their name heard all around the world. This fiery battle would continue in October when another old god, this time the Fury of the Tempest, @badcrookshanks, would enter the war and show that the old guard still had it.
Thanks to those amazing sagas, the 4 year record of TPOTM held by @kuro was finally broken by @XIAO and then the 7k mark would be beaten by both @XIAO and @badcrookshanks. The Forum would then enter the last 2 months with multiple users fighting for the elusive throne
Reaching Greatness (end of the year)
After a long time, the war between those 4 sides would calm down, and 2 of the gods would rest. Still, The Emperor and the President would still fight for not only the throne, but also for a place in history, trying to reach impossible heights. In November, they would both push the game to the limit and reach the impossible 8000 posts mark. But then, day, would decide to push even further, towards an impossible goal against time and space. At the very end of the month, they would finally reach it, the 9k mark.
After this amazing accomplishment, it was though that the final milestone was finally broken, as other milestones were obviously way too unrealistic. But you never bet against Gods. This is the tale of a legend, someone who was able to push past any other limits imaginable, having unparalleled consistency while maintaining a gargantuan power. Days after days, they would post 100s, never stopping, never falling, never resting. All towards one goal, a milestone that would have been seen as pure imagination from a small kid. In the very last few days, to end the year, the emperor, the legend, @kimsguardian, would break the 10k milestone, and rise to the throne of 2023.
In other news, the end of the year was marked by easily the most activity in forum history. Many users like @kingdom, @Selfmate, @Xeulgi, @Abeamus, @As_Good_As_Dead would do amazing feats in their own rights and also reach incredible milestone.
The year in milestones:
4 users broke the previous posting record in a year by @Tsukino
@Moguri is the first user ever to post more than 1k in every single month of a calendar year
22 users had more than 10k posts (previous record: 14)
with last year top tally, you would finish 8th this year
last year 10th would be 20th this year with the same amount of posts.
@Snowflake_Starz reached 10k in 3 months
more than 400 different users posted on the forum, tho only 170 of them reached 100 posts
despite an impressive start of the year, myth was pushed to 21st place after their hiatus
Also shoutout to very old users like @Vikki (13th) and @lexus (28th) for keeping up with those young and hungry rookies.
