Netflix's original series The Glory is a revenge story with depth that's thrilling, gripping deeply unnerving, and offers a catharsis that only good revenge stories deliver.

The Glory based on true life events start off with Song Hye-Kyo who plays a tormented victim of high school related crime bullying named Moon Dong-eun. She is a quiet and a smart kid who doesn't have any reliable adults within her life forcing her to grow up faster.

She plans out her life dedicated to paying her "friends" as a visit encountering her own ability to defend herself once and for all.

One of the best Korean dramas I've watched in years. Patiently anticipating the remaining episodes.

Some scenes were unbearable to watch though. It is very sad and extreme. I was never the biggest fan of Song Hyekyo but she won me over with this performance, her pain and trauma is very believable.

Real Victims:

Man waited 12 years just for revenge because of The Glory crime bullying against him.

Yoshihara Asaki born sometime in 1964 was a victim of the school crime bullying.

He wasn't really good at fitting in with other students which lead to being tease all the time. He's parents were respected teachers in his school so he's upbringing was pretty strict, but he tried his best.

As teasing began, he told his parents which of course they did worry about him and moved to another school outside the local district. He became better and studied with good grades onwards to the junior high school however he became the target of crime school related violence.

He's classmate quoted of junior high school:

"It's true that he was often bullied. He was put in a headlock and punched in the head. There were also times when he was shut in the cleaning closet, and his pants pulled down in front of everyone."

Another quoted:

"Because Asaki had a small body, he was stubborn. It could have been better for him to stay quiet, even though he was more or less bullied. But only he would talk back with comments like, "what are you doing?" which made people bully him for being impertinent."

So, in other words, because he fought back, he was considered dumb by his pathetic classmates who never fight against bullies.

However, because he fought back, they (classmates) bullied him in many ways even the teachers didn't care at all.

They blamed him for standing up for himself. Also, he teachers and parents said it was he's fault. That "he" was just like the other kids bad on the outside and bad on the inside.

Leading onwards he's father a respected teacher bushing all his abuse under the rug.

Yet, he stuck his head into books which lead him into a good life as a student. Even to graduate from junior high school entering himself into an agricultural high school where he studied chemistry.

Though he wasn't interested in the field this was just another steppingstone to undoing the wrongs against.

However, he's parents found a diary filled of his revenge plans and handing him into the police.

Like you could've saved your son, but they didn't they closed their eyes, mouth, ears to him.

As he planned a welcoming to all those who wronged him a class reunion with spoiled drink glasses of chemical substances to kill those monsters.
