It was around 5 hours. Comfortable and on the mountain and lots of scenery. Are you planning to go anywhere?

Yeah, a relatively small number of times. If you include the subway then the number of train rides goes way up of course

My longest train ride was from my country to another (from Hungary to Croatia) and back. I wouldn’t say it was too safe. One girl get robbed on the train during night when she went to the toilet.

Don't steal the tracks.
Train tracks make excellent anvils.
Squishing pennies and quarters on tracks is NOT illegal.
Train tracks are welded with termite. It looks amazing!!!!

Based on the definitions it seems like a subway is the railroad/area itself not the vehicle running in it, and the vehicles themselves seem to match the definition of a train So I guess a subway isn't a train but the vehicle is a train.

I've never been anywhere internationally. Do they check passports and things on trains then?

Oh I’ve never taken trips from one country to another I don’t think, I meant on trips internationally where I was in a city with a solid subway system. I have crossed international borders on buses though and they do there, so I’d imagine on a train they would as well, probably before the train leaves the station rather than at the crossing itself (or maybe both times actually for confirmation? One of the times that’s what they did on our bus and one of the times that isn’t what they did so I’m not sure).

Mainly subway trips, but I did take a train to a borough (it's smaller than a town) within my state. It was a fun 50-minute ride.

i take the train to work and class all the time, but if you mean long distance, we rode a train from moscow to the caucasus when i was 12. it was a whole day and a half day and we had a little cabin all to ourselves, it was pretty exciting as a kid yea! though as an adult i would probably not enjoy it so much lmao

and just a few weeks ago i made two 10 hour trips, it was pretty chill i just read some manga and slept hehe
