One of the runner ups was 1917 which is British movie, but for some reason nobody had problem with that foreign movie being nominated and almost winning

I don't mind if Oscar decided to be American award show that only rewarded American movies, but then it should be treated as such not as some international merit of best movies. Since they try to appear to judge of best movies in general not just domestically, they need to include movies regardless of country and sometimes non-American movie is going to win if the system is fair. Hollywood might think it has movie monopoly, but that's not quite true is it.

Tbh, I was thinking that Trump saw the movie and would rant about how it portrays rich people as parasites too and talks about income differences. But I guess he didn't even see the movie xd

I hardly doubt Trump has the mental capacity to understand the theme and messages of this movie. He's probably just ranting about it because the movie is a hot topic and he can't stop himself from being a racist.
