• As of 2/25/2021, Cube Ent. has made no statement regarding this issue. The last statement released was on the 21st. However, it is possible that they are arranging to meet up with victim C, however, do not take this as fact.

February 3rd, 2021

• An alleged victim(A) writes a post on Pann alleging that Seo Soojin from (G)I-DLE was a perpetrator of school violence in middle school
• We do not have the article anymore because it was deleted, but there were allegations made including:
• Stealing money from people
• Screaming vulgar things at A
• Smoking often and drinking with boys while hanging out in a school club
• Hanging out with older boys and being promiscuous with them
• Dressing inappropriately
• Stealing PE uniforms among other belongings
• Spitting on victim A
• OP also mentioned Actress Seo Shin-ae, however, this was never elaborated on
• It was also said that:
• Soojin entered into a K-Pop entertainment company sometime in middle school and changed her personality, becoming shy and reserved
• She was also alleged to have gotten a fake mole under her eye among other accusations
• There was little evidence
• The OP claimed that there was no evidence because phones back then were only capable of 2G(This was 2012/2013/2014, so this claim is not true)
• The only evidence provided was a graduation photo of Seo Soojin from Waw Middle School
• Several hours after the article was posted onto Pann, it was deleted due to inconsistencies and insubstantial evidence pointed out by netizens
• Netizens pointed that phones in 2012-2014 did in fact have cameras and that it was not an excuse for a lack of evidence
• These claims were never investigated by Cube, but were also quickly shut down and were not reported by news sources in South Korea

February 12th(?), 2021

• A second victim(B) posts on Pann and alleges that Seo Soojin from (G)I-DLE bullied them in middle school
• This claim was not supported by evidence, however, the OP did have photos of Soojin from middle school. This does not in any way confirm their story, just proves they were a student in the same school
• After being criticized by netizens for not providing evidence of the abuse, B commented under their post
  “Soojin, you’re lucky that you have so many people to shield you even with all the sh** you did. You should’ve been nice to people ha”
• This was not taken well and the post was taken down
• This was not reported about until included in a theqoo.net post on the 21st.

February 21st, 2021

• A third victim(C)’s older sister comments on Instagram alleging school violence towards her little sister(C) in middle school by Seo Soojin
• An Instagram comment reads: HERE
  “I can’t talk about it all right now but I’m thinking of writing a post about what stuff SSJ did in middle school today or tomorrow… She(Soojin) got my little sister’s friend to get C into a bathroom and they started slapping her and then Soojin said, ‘From now on, C is an outcast.’ I feel angry just talking about it lol”(More in the link above)
• The older sister posts a KakaoTalk screenshot with a message from C: HERE
• The victim alleges that Soojin slapped them and their friend
• Stole money and belongings
• Smoked and drank with guys who rode motorcycles in the neighborhood
• Made C into an outcast through KakaoTalk
• After these statements, waves of Korean news and media sites began to report on the alleged school violence initiated by Seo Soojin in middle school
• Another poster who had gone to Waw Middle School made a post on Pann discussing various rumors spread about Soojin(This is not an alleged victim, nor are they defending Soojin): HERE
• At 5:30 PM, Cube Entertainment, entertainment company of (G)I-DLE posted the following statement related to the allegations, stating that the allegations were false and that they would take legal action to protect their artists. HERE
• Around 5/6PM KST, another anonymous user on Twitter claimed to have been a victim of Soojin in middle school(HERE)
• After Cube Entertainment released this statement, actress Seo Shin-ae, a classmate at Waw Middle School posted a vague Instagram Story saying, “None of your excuse”
• Although not specifying the post as a reply to the situation with Seo Soojin, Netizens assumed that the story was referring to Seo Soojin.
• A friend of SSA also posted on their story saying “Things must be right” in Chinese letters
• Assuming the story was about Seo Soojin, many Netizens went to Seo Shin-ae’s Instagram page to encourage and give her strength through her comments. Most of Seo Shin-ae’s Instagram posts had received around 10 comments, however, her most recent post has gathered over 2,000 comments as of the 22nd of February.
• Eventually, Seo Shin-ae’s management stated that they were looking into the situation, however have not released an official statement as of the 25th of February.
• Finally, at around 11:30PM KST, the sister of victim C posts their statement onto Pann: HERE
• Another alleged victim(D) comes out on Pann, the user had commented on a (G)I-DLE Youtube video 3 months prior asking Soojin to apologize to them one day: HERE
• Other allegations come out:
• One stated that Soojin had called Seo Shinae ugly while she visited her class, one stated that it was a secret among the alumni, another claimed that Soojin had talked bad about Seo Shin-ae on multiple occasions
• However, at the end of the day, there was still no evidence that any of this had occurred,

February 22nd, 2021

• Around 8AM KST, Seo Soojin released a statement/letter onto her account on U CUBE(a fan cafe dedicated to artists under Cube Entertainment): HERE
• Confirmed smoking, bad rumors, dress code violations, cuss out ex-friend after they ignored her after a fight
• Denied that she assaulted ex-friend, rid a motorcycle, sent messages provoking bullying, talked to actress Seo Shin-ae, stole PE uniforms or personal belongings, or the “juice incident”
• This, however, only addresses the accusations from victim C
• Seo Shin-ae’s management states that they are looking into the allegations of school violence from Seo Shin-ae
• An old friend of Seo Soojin comments on a post on Instagram about Soojin’s U CUBE statement: HERE
• States that Soojin was not the type of person that the allegations claimed she was
• An alleged friend of Soojin and victim C posted on Pann: HERE
• They try to take an unbiased perspective on this issue
• They clear up some misconceptions made about Waw Middle School
• A student in the same graduating class as Seo Soojin in Waw Middle School also posted a Twitter thread explaining their experience at Waw Middle School: HERE
• Explains that Seo Shin-ae was not a completely innocent person in middle school
• Explains that Soojin was not someone who was particularly bad at their school
• Explains how the environment at their school may have contributed to the rumors as well
• At around 2PM KST, actress Seo Shin-ae posts onto her Instagram story
• The post is a screenshot of the song ‘Therefore I am’ by Billie Eilish
• Netizens theorize the story is referring to Seo Soojin due to lyrics like “Get my pretty name outta your mouth” and more
• Due to the reactions of fans on various SNS websites, Korean media sources talked about vicious comments made by fans on Twitter, Instagram, Pann, and more. These were directed towards Victim C, Seo Shin-ae, and others.
• Due to this, many fans have asked for the cooperation of other fans to prevent the harassment of victims
• At 11PM, Victim C’s sister posts again onto Pann: HERE
• They address the letter Soojin posted to U CUBE
• They also address another victim(E) who sent DMs to them via Instagram relating to school violence accusations towards Seo Soojin
• There is no new accusations, however, they clear up some mistakes they made(When the issues arose)
• In one comment, they say that they received an invitation to meet with Cube/Soojin but they claim that C refused to meet and that they want a clear admission of guilt from Soojin to meet up.

February 23rd, 2021

• 2:41PM: Victim C’s sister posts once more onto Pann: HERE
• States that Cube’s invitation to meet up was an invitation to meet up with Cube’s legal team, which is why they had declined to meet up. This is contrary to their previous comment, however.
• It seems that they are willing to meet up with Cube, if they will be talking to Seo Soojin.
• They also point out several screenshots of hate messages and threats that they received in their Instagram DMs.
• 4PM: Victim D states that they were never contacted by Cube but they state that Victim C will be meeting with representative from Cube with a lawyer: HERE
• Sometime in the Noon, actress Seo Shin-ae disabled comments on all of her posts
• >6PM: (G)I-DLE’s DC Gallery reveals that they will no longer be supporting member Seo Soojin after school violence accusations
• Prior to this, a representative from DC Gallery notified (G)I-DLE fans(Neverland) that they would refrain from supporting Soojin without a official statement from Cube Entertainment before 6PM KST
• Cube Entertainment did not release a statement before 6PM KST.
• Due to Soojin/Cube’s inability to explain or respond to the counterclaims made by Victim C, DC Gallery decides to stop supporting Soojin. Other members are still being supported by this fanbase.
• Other comments:
• Some people stated that they overheard SSJ talking bad behind Seo Shin-ae’s back(No evidence, only graduation records)

February 24th, 2021

• ~1PM: Victim C’s sister replies to comments on her Pann post from the 23rd: HERE
• Plans on sending a tip to broadcasting stations to broadcast it on current affairs
• Plans on meeting with the legal team(unclear if this is their own or Cube’s)
• 2:35PM: Victim C’s sister posts that she will be reporting all hate comments and messages towards herself that she can find: HERE
• Various other statements were made by anonymous users on Pann:
• One said that the claim that SJ called Seo Shin-ae ugly in class was a lie because they did not go to the same school at the time it allegedly occurred(Anonymous User, no evidence, however went to elementary with Seo Shin-ae)
• Another stated that the claims that Seo Shin-ae was a bad kid were incorrect because she was actually a good kid in middle school, they also confirm SSA’s alleged bullying she fell victim to(Anonymous User, provided evidence of admission with pictures of SSA)
• Some Netizens pointed out Pann comments from 2012 when Seo Shin-ae and SSJ were in Waw Middle School, where students at the time claimed that Seo Shin-ae was stuck up and rude
• However, Netizens are not concerned with this as it does not constitute “school violence”

February 25th, 2021

• Victim D tweets at 1AM: HERE
• “I’ll be giving you some late night news.
  I’ve been talking with 2 reporters.
  If the offender does not provide an apology or admission of guilt, we will also be sending information to a TV producer with the consent of the victims.”
• Articles start being published about Victim D’s lack of response from Cube Ent.

• 9:30AM: Victim C’s sister is confirmed to be meeting with Cube Ent.’s legal team with an attorney present at 1PM on the 25th: HERE

Well Cube and Soojin denied any bullying took place initially so now backtracking and meeting up with the victim that in their story of events doesn't exist kinda speaks for itself.

Damn it...It seems that some of the bullying allegations ended up being true, although, I see other opportunistic claims thrown into the mix too but It definitely doesn't look good for Soojin.
