That doesn't seem very plausible but okay. Girl group life span is very short as compared to boy groups sadly with the public immediately forgetting the old for the new. Beginning occasional solo work at this stage of their careers seems like the smarter thing to do but you do you Twice. Let's hope you manage to stick together as a group and still get decent support from your fans for a long, long time.

but that was mostly only her opinion, from what I remember some members have hinted at wanting to do some solo/unit work. Besides only group activities could also kill a group bond since some of the members might have different opinions and artistic views or that they wish to try something different but the only thing that is stopping them is the group itself.

Honestly, as much as people criticised YG for giving Jennie a solo so early in Black Pink's career, it's probably the smartest way to go and if BP were under a more consistent company it probably would've worked perfectly.

I don’t know if I believe this or not. I can understand wanting to promote more with your group members, but eventually everyone might want to do their own thing and explore other projects. I wouldn’t be surprised if the company told them to say this. Kind of like the time they had to say they wanted to promote nonstop when we knew damn well they were always exhausted

It was right at the peak of the Jennie Lazy and Jennie favourtism debacle, so when YG came out with the news of her getting a solo ppl just saw it as another sign of favourtism.

This honestly sounds the same to me as in 2018 when Twice said they like promoting non-stop.
Not necessarily even their opinion, just smth to appease the fans.

Yeah I don't think anyone buys this anymore. After the whole debacle where JYP was having them say they love working all the time just to have members breakdown on camera and others go on hiatus I don't think anyone would believe this.

I don't see why they can't, they're popular enough but JYP is well known to be trash at managing solo careers.
Any of them could go into acting and some could do solos

Yeh I doubt they mean that. I'm sure they all know their time as a group is limited and the only way for them to survive in the long run is to build their own brand name. To me it just seems that JYP is traumatised by what happened with Suzy and Miss A so now they're just doing everything to stop that from happening again. I guess you learn from your mistakes... it's just unfortunate for the girls and their future careers.
