i think zaras version is better... her voice just fits the song. she pulls off the mature vibe better.

if jyp let the girls sing in a comfortable range and actually embraced the girls deeper voices then the song to me would have sounded better. it doesn't make it any better that the song is actually five years old... and you can tell. something like this would have hit big in 2015 in the west or in 2017 where kpop was all in the tropical house trend.

twice releasing a track like this in 2020 where drops like these are already so over-saturated and the sound, in general, is just so outdated was dumb on jyps part.

honestly, if jyp would have kept the verses, tweaked the chorus, and kept the original key of the song and let twice embrace a more mature concept for this song then it would have just hit better. instead it just falls flat.
