This is kind of a rant but it's honestly really frustrating
when you are expressing an opinion
that might be slightly negative but it's because of anxiety
or because of worry and you know that there is a possibility
everything will be fine
and then someone jumps in after you express your concerns
and kind of is super positive and makes it feel like your concerns
aren't legitimate.

I don't think it's an intentional thing-I think people that do this are genuinely
trying to ease the worry you or others may have but it can also seem almost dismissive in a sense.
Like ok yeah cool things could go super fucking well but like
are my concerns not valid???
Like at all??

I mean I know this probably isn't toxic but I don't know how else to describe it?
It just feels incredibly dismissive.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

Well It can become toxic in a way if a person or people keep disregarding actual issues that can be dealt with or need to be processed and acknowledged as they tend to build up and can cause issues later on.
It's a possibility that someone could develop such a case of denial that can become really deep rooted.
I don't know if this what you meant but thats kinda how I see it.
There needs to be a balance, willingness to acknowledge an issue so it can be changed makes sense to me as not everything is positive but not everything is negative either, they work somewhat together in a way.

I definitely get where you’re coming from, denial isn’t a good thing and it’s not supposed to be something to strive for either. I don’t know if I’d describe it as toxic either but I know what you mean with it seeming dismissive

Sometimes it can be a case that you're looking too much into things but that's only sometimes and other times you can be right on the money and in those cases it's better to have someone who can analyze the situation properly as well since it just might save you a world of hurt.
