Not really, Universal and Scooter Braun are heavily invested in Hybe and both would lose HUGE if Hybe falls. This is simply them throwing more money at a poor replacement for VLIVE. Weverse hasn't attracted what VLIVE lost. Western audiences never experienced VLIVE so they'll never understand why a lot of groups refuse to sign up with Weverse. Very soon we'll see a western version of VLIVE with Universal and Time warner artists maybe even a combined version kpop/western version. The thought makes me sick...

I watched Vlive and I watch some Weverse that hasn't been subtitled yet. Fans could subtitle and upload directly to Vlive so things got subtitled faster there.

Probably, after years of watching Anime I didn't need subtitles any more. But mainly, I love certain voices so I find them speaking very calming.
