I feel like people who watch kpop reaction channels only watch it to feel validation that someone else also likes their fav and what they put out

while the asymmetrical ending posse of wjsn's butterfly does seem to leave three empty spots, i personally don't think it necessarily has much to do with the c-line. yeah, the ending pose could have empty spots for the c-line, but i personally think its asymmetry simply means "imperfection is also beautiful", which is pretty much the meaning of the song.

edit 2: never mind i disagree lmao, choi young jun himself was pretty ot13 around butterfly era so the empty spots were almost certainly for the chinity.

idk i really cant bring myself to like most of the ~legendary~ 2nd gen songs tbh, maybe if i felt nostalgic for them i could understand the hype but most of them have that very outdated, whiny sound that is so specific to 2nd gen kpop and i just cant get into it

I have a grudge against 4th generation groups, I'll admit it. However, lately, there's no one who I care enough about to memorize the idols names. They're all so uninteresting it's painful. I would, however, love to stan a YGNGG.

i actually don't get the hate towards reaction youtubers. all they do is sit in front of the camera and have fun while a song is playing. they do not harm anyone. all these kpop youtube channels which do nothing but spread hate towards idols and claim it's all "brutally honest opinions" should receive the negative reputation that reaction youtubers have. "but they do it just for views" isn't it literally the point of any youtubers' content? "but they hype up every song" and what's wrong with that? isn't it nice to have some good old positivity in a fandom that's considered so toxic and hateful?

most 2nd gen iconic songs would probably not do as well today as they did back then and kpop fans who act the "back in my day..." way are mostly either blinded by the nostalgia or just fueled with unnecessary negativity towards 4th gen. like you can't tell me 2ne1's i am the best or bigbang's fantastic baby wouldn't get the "noise" treatment or gee by snsd wouldn't be called kidzbop music.

People bend over backwards to find issues with Kevin because he doesn't act like a traditional idol and it's so fucking sad to me because he tries so hard to put smiles on everyone's faces and all he gets is hate in return. He likes twerking? Who cares. He wants to reference gay skits from SNL? Let him! He's a Beyonce stan? OKAY. And god forbid he says "gucci in the hootchie". Kevin is a flamboyant person and refuses to be put in the "normal" idol box and people boil it down to 'he's gay' or 'there's something wrong/off with him'. I hate how OT10 Deobis are starting to outnumber OT11.

The reason why Kpop fans hate seeing HYBE owning all these companies is hilarious to me. I don't like HYBE but I don't like the others Kpop companies either. I also don't want to see one company owning all the others. Whereas those who are the loudest about the so-called HYBE monopoly are in fact the biggest big 3 company stans out there who can't accept that HYBE became so big thank to one single group, BTS, who did not benefit from the same privilege as their faves but ended up performing better than them in the long run. Kakako's monopoly over the industry is bigger than HYBE but you weirdly never hear Kpop fans complaining about it.

the reason your kpop fave may not get many lines in their group's songs, despite being a decent singer, could be that they're not korean but are singing in korean. yeah, non-korean idols may not want to sing much in a song because the pronunciation of certain words may be too tough for them - shuhua literally talked about this wrt her 'my bag' rap. and even if they don't have that much of a problem, and are willing to sing it, the producer may not want to give them the lines because they may have a thick accent. and while that's perfectly okay, it can take a listener out of the song - and pop producers want as many people as possible to listen to their songs, right?

Sunwoo should not have come back from hiatus so soon, I get the fact he's a workaholic and everyone is happy to see him again but he doesn't look happy at all. He looks miserable and nothing like his usual self, and everyone is just ignoring it because they don't want him gone. There is a very strong indication that he had some sort of mental breakdown and everyone is just glossing over it, I'm so sick of it.

He's a charismatic, animated, amazing performer. It was almost scary to see him acting so lackluster in today's performance. He was on hiatus for like 20 days, he deserves so much more time to recover.



eta: even in pictures taken, he looks so tired. I just hope he didn't feel obligated to return before he could fully recover.

I am so sick of all the negativity towards NMIXX; it’s like non fans have nothing positive to say about them anymore. People forget the girls can see EVERYTHING both negative and positive about them ANYWHERE. People disregard their talent, insult them over music they have no control over making and so much more. Just look at what Jinni & Haewon said:

Lily was so bubbly during Ad Mare, but since Entwurf came out she’s lost a bit of herself. It’s so obvious all the pessimism surrounding NMIXX is getting to them. Adding all of the fresh hate onto the already massive pile from Ad Mare, I don’t know how NMIXX are still performing with smiles on their faces.
It’s absolutely fine if you don’t like NMIXX’s music, but constantly bad mouthing it and sometimes the girls themselves is very immature and ignorant. They’re only 8 months into their career and every non-fan/anti is shitting on them. Fuck the akgaes too

Kpop stans need to realize that not all opinions are going to be positive, and even if it is negative it's not bashing. Me saying "I don't like cheese" Wouldn't be taken as me bashing cheese and every who loves it would it? The same with songs and groups. Not everyone has to like a song or group. And people have the right to voice their opinions on it.
