You may or may not have seen the thread where I explained how one of my chicks, Penny was hunched over, losing quite a bit of feathers on one leg and wasn’t eating. We brought her in the house to keep a close eye on her, and to keep her out of the heat.
Besides the fact that she hates her little play pen that she’s in and that her legs seem to be very weak, she’s actually doing pretty great. Eating a TON of food, she literally ate an entire plate of fruit and veggies (her main food though still remains pellets). She’s loving all the pampering and further exploring the house (as she only really explored my room when she was teeny tiny). And tonight she was ready to take the house by storm and check out every area, couches, laundry hampers, garbage, dryer, kitchen counter (I cleaned it don’t worry), and even the oven…
We were preparing our dinners and when one of us opened the oven to put a pizza in she jumped in (we hadn’t turned it on yet, she’s totally fine.
) She saw no issue because the house is now hers and hers alone. The girlie is a daredevil and wants to stake claim of all the ovens
Anyways, we’ll be calling around tomorrow morning to hopefully get her seen by a vet, but she’s slowly making improvements which makes me hopeful.
Here she is on our trash can
