and also because its monetising its volunteer subbers idk if its compensating 'em. And by utilising its economic model of volunteer subbing while monetising them, it prevents paid translators/streamers from competing fairly in the free market.

I could be accused of being one sided because i use free subbed sites tho. And watch free fan subs. However in asia there's also korean channels on cable/satellite tv here which my fam pays for n iv watched korean shows thereby, not tat much but still some. Also Viu in asia seems a better model where (i believe, paid translators sub shows) watching ads or paying for premium service seems more equitable. But viki, i think is for outside asia whereas viu is mostly or all for asia market(not sure abt europe, africa, south america n australasia(oz n nz).
