So today a friend was telling me on a app, she was venting then this person dm here and said she was faking everything when she wasn’t, but then that person said that they knew who my friend was and the name of our school and they threteaned here life and she asked me for advice and i was like i dont know i cant help in this situation but i would tell a trusted staff member and here parents and thats the best thing for here even if her parents are strict and will be mad at here for talking to strangers online they’ll be more worried about here saftey then afterwords talk to here about why they dont want here on talking websites, but she said she’s not going to tell anyone and im just about to tell someone beacuse if they said our school and they was going to krill here then id want to tell someone asap so she could be safe. and at this point idk what to do.

There are ways that they could have that info and it could be a hollow threat, but the best and safest option is to report it to someone. Especially in the online age we live in, that’s something that an authority figure is more likely to be able to take care of, even if it’s just letting you know that there’s nothing to worry about after all.
