So, I have two dogs. My female Chihuahua Diva and my male Terrier mix Cutiepie. Well Cutie got his shots yesterday and I'm assuming it was his first time ever getting shots because he was a stray and he's rather young. They gave him 3 shots and did 2 tests. This morning my mom noticed him very lethargic to the point where we feared the most. We looked up side-effects of the shots and some of his symptoms were the same. We were very worried and were crying our eyes out. We got in contact with his vet which took like an hour because the doc wasn't in. They were able to contact her, and she said a lot of small dogs go through this from getting all those shots. It makes their bodies sore and does a lot to their system. Since he's a small dog it was a lot on him. He's been sleepy aswell and the doc said that's normal. If you pray, please pray they are right and that the meds they gave him help and that he gets better asap. He's truly an angel and came to us not long after my Pa passed. We honestly felt like he was sent to us from him. Anyways. Please pray if you do and wish the best if not.

As an owner, you are allowed to ask that the vaccines be spaced out for their safety. We have many clients who come in and to be safer they ask that we give one shot at a time. It can be more expensive in the long run but if reactions are a concern you can always do that in the future just to be safe. We can also always pretreat as well. Which again is more expensive but it makes the possibility of a reaction less likely.

Yeah, small dogs sometimes get "flu Like" symptoms (the dog version of them). Tired, achie, loss of apatight, loose stools. If it doesn't pass in 24-48 hours go to a different vet so the vet has a clearer head about what's going on. Your puppy is in my prayers!

He and my female dog are like my siblings. So to me he's my brother. He's def family and tysm for the good thoughts aswell.

Don't worry, i'm sure they gonna be fine. Some dogs are anxious from a visit to the vet too, i saw a puppy literally shaking after a visit. Hug them lots and they probably gonna be fine, if not u can always call the vet back. PRaying for ur doggies <3

Tysm. We honestly didnt think to question the doc because it's kinda new to us to have a dog whose never had shots.
