One of our neighbors has lived next to us for about 3 years now and they have around… maybe 5 dogs I’d say, most of them are german shepherds and others are just mix breeds. And they consider them all (besides one) to be guard dogs… They’re not at all
They’re 100% attack dogs. We’ve never made a complaint because they keep them fairly well contained but I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t worry me. They have to keep the dogs away from strangers or else they attack and their main guard dog we one time heard him try to attack one of their daughters (she wasn’t hurt).
But anyways, I came out to our front porch to open up the boxes out there and I noticed one of their female shepherds was out in their own front yard, I wasn’t too worried because 1. They have a fence in their front yard, it’s not extremely tall or anything but it makes me feel more comfortable I guess, and 2. One of the neighbors was out there with the dog…. Also that specific dog has been out in the front before and has seemed relatively calm each time. But this time I realized that she was taking more interest in me and so I was trying to hurry up with unboxing our mail. But about a minute later the neighbor started yelling at the shepherd to “leave it” (referring to me) and I started freaking out because she sounded very concerned as she was trying to keep the dog in the yard…
So of course to me that makes me more nervous. I eventually just brought the boxes in because I could tell the dog wasn’t listening to her well and at one point she sort of began to look like she may jump the fence to get to me so I wasn’t gonna chance it. But that scared the heck out of me
