Our dog killed 15 of our chicken, on the 31st. Left them in their blood and our backyard full of feathers. It's insane.

I hope not. Dogs have a prey instinct. It takes a lot of effort to train out of them but it can be done.

With the proper training it won't. There is no behavior that can not be trained out of a dog.

Dog won't be put down, got a beating with the broom when my parents tried to save the other chickens. He will be more supervised from now on.
Yeah it's hunting instinct tbh. We raise new chickens every year so idk how we can teach him out of it ?
