French - I want to try escargot to see why people hate it so much. I mean, I know it's basically cooked snails, but I love exotic foods!

I think a lot of it boils down to the fact that snails just don't make for a very good meat? it gets overcooked easily and then it's rough and all around difficult to eat, the only time I've had it that I liked it was when it was doused in butter lmao but I always go for duck whenever I'm at a nicer French establishment
though luosifen is quite good, but snail is used more as part of the stock than the center of the dish itself
