what are some movies/tv shows from your childhood that.... (1 Viewer)

got a remake or spinoff that you either didn't like and/or ruined it (like that the kids who've only seen the remakes and spinoffs, never the original...and sadly like it better ;-;)
now the originals don't necessarily have to be created during your childhood, just to be a big part of it or something that you'd watch a lot. but the remake/spinoff does have to be made while you were alive (not before)

and some movies/tv shows that got hyped up in recent years and you don't really like how hyped up they are atm bc they were hidden from a lot of people in the younger generation or from people your age for a long time

for me:

remake/spinoff:
mary poppins
spirit
gremlins
blues clues
willy wonka
sesame street (this one is kinda different....they just changed soooo much on the show ;-;)
my little pony (all the way....this recent movie was terrible imo...i grew up on the original and friendship is magic....i liked both....but this recent one.....not a fan)
roseanne
pokemon (now, a lot of you may know how much i love pokemon, but i was never a big fan of the sun and moon series....the s&m games were fine...but the show....i wasn't a big fan of it...idk why)

It’s one of the best movies of all time and they made that extremely weird show/movie that completely contradicts the original story plus takes all the charming points of the original out.
They could have made an awesome sequel if done right.
