But the catch is that you need to give at least one pro and con for any language you mention :icgyu: Here's mine:

English:
Pros:
The more rigid word order means that English doesn't need a bunch of cases/the cases it has aren't super heavily used.
Cons: It's often not easy to look at a word and understand how its pronounced for sure. Too many letters are ambiguous in pronunciation, especially when combined.

Russian:
Pros:
The flexible word order allows for more emphasis, and the extensive prefixes and suffixes means you can understand many words easily.
Cons: Too many possible endings, between suffixes and endings due to the case system.

Korean:
Pros:
The alphabet system pretty easy to read, and the word order is moderately rigid, giving it some benefits of a rigid one and of a flexible one :lisalaugh:
Cons: To me, the vocabulary isn't easy to learn, maybe because Korean has fewer distinct sounds compared to other languages I know and a more rigid structure of sounds in a word. Also formality is scary.

Spanish:
Pros:
I find Spanish very flowy and connected. It just feels easy to talk quickly, which makes sense because that's a requirement of Spanish more less, given how long and verbose the language is. There's also a lot of variety dialect wise, which can be both a pro and a con.
Cons: I will forever associate it with school. Gross :soob: Also a lot of conjugation. Also paper doesn't have a penis (unless you give it to preteens) so why does it, and other inanimate objects in Spanish, need to be gendered. This applies to Russian too.

Is Dutch similar to English with grammatical gender? Or is it different?

Pros: it's goit rules, and I'm a very rules-oriented learner
Cons: so. many. tenses. x'ed, have/has x'ed, had x'ed, used to x... oh, and different ways to say certain words. I never know which term Duolingo is looking for, and there's always one they're thinking of for that context. Like "that" can be "eso" or "aquel". URGHHHHHHHHHHHH :jisoosmh:

I think that’s one downside of Duolingo. Eso and aquel are easier to differentiate irl I think than on Duolingo because you know the distance, but on Duolingo it can be harder to tell. I do find that sometimes the context of the sentence can help me guess which to use, but I agree that it’s not a certain thing.

I actually don't mind genders. They're just categories, takes a lot of memorisation and can be annoying to learn but like there are worse things

Hungarian
Pro: The grammar is genderless
Con: every case is marked by suffixes after the noun

Cases :pepecross: Hungarian has so many, I was always scared at the sheer number Hungarian has :wimwim:

I feel like the description you gave is enough for me to dislike them :haylul: I personally dislike them and it’s for those reasons. And they’re generally just unnecessary, while some other things I dislike actually have a purpose, even if they’re annoying to learn. I think that’s the most annoying part.

cons: there’s no alphabet so you have to memorise every character LOLLL and there’s little relationship between written and reading so you have to memorise that too

pro: chinese is very poetic so it sounds nice and also you can order dim sum more easily

Nah I like them. It makes decoding stuff like Latin much easier if an adjective and noun match gender. I've grown to see the use in them

Is the use that the noun and adjective are the same gender? Wouldn’t it be easier to have no gender and only one form of the adjective for non animate stuff at least? Or is the use not related to that, but another thing?

Latin doesn't use word order, so in poetry and prose the words are all jumbled up. Gender markers make it wayyyyyyyy easier to tell if an adjective is substantive (basically a noun meaning in an adjective; 'boni' indicates nominative masc. plural so it means 'the good men') or attributive (adds to an existing noun). If there was no gender in Latin and everything else stayed the same then the poetry would be a big mess.
