What are the cons of parasocial relationships? (1 Viewer)

Who wants to help with my speech I currently need one more con of parasocial relationships but I can't find any scholarly studies for things I want to talk about.

My first con:
Parasocial relationships lead to isolation

I wonder if I should just use a study that says parasocial relationships lead to depression... but what do you guys think?

I did find a scholarly source for this one and I do find it important but I think it would look weird within my speech. I present two pros as well which talk about the personal emotions a fan feels, and my 1 con is also talking about loneliness, so I think bringing in a material aspect would disrupt it? Does that make sense? So 3 personal, emotional points and 1 material vs. 4 personal, emotional points to keep the speech grounded?

Sample: We try to feel as close as possible to these artists to the point where we spend money we shouldn't be spending on material items that make us feel closer to them. It's a way of imitation that, at the end of the day, only hurts us.

I didn't, I give the speech tomorrow, the time limit for the speech is 6-8 minutes and I'm currently at 7 minutes with my time. Last time I went over by 20 seconds and got 0 points so I have to be strict this time.

Yeah, I mean the time section was either 0 or 5 points so it's not like I missed a lot (total assignment worth 50 pts) but the time aspect is important because we have to remember to be respectful of our audience's time as well
