oh fuck if I know. My mom doesn't talk about it a lot. So I'm kind of ignorant to some culture and history stuff I wish that I wasn't ignorant too...

I think my mother grew up in Mumbai. Grew up Christian so that's probably why it was easier for her to marry my father, a white, Christian American, and move over to the states...

Interesting, maybe she is of Marathi, Goan, or Parsi. If she grew up Christian in Mumbai, I'm assuming she probably was from a wealthier background than most other Indians then.
