Do you find it to creepy or disrespectful to idols? Or do you think this sort of thing okay in a sense?

For me I think it’s quite creepy ngl

idols are real human beings and them being public figures doesn't change any of that which is why i find it creepy as well. it's not difficult to keep whatever fantasies about idols you have to yourself without sharing where they can read it.

I think it's ok if it's on sites that is dedicated to fanfiction so it's not in their face- same as with shipping and fanart like that it will happen regardless but yea it's more awkward than fanfiction about fictional characters for sure, especially if it includes weirder themes.

but I find it distasteful to make it super super public, or posting it outside of ff sites

Nah I'd rather fanfiction be about fictional stuff- book characters, video games, movies, anime etc. It's still okay if it's about a TV show pairing but writing real life smut about people and then sharing it so they can read feels a bit too creepy.

Like, even if they never see it, at the very least I find it incredibly weird.
