what are your pet peeves when it comes to seeing movies? (1 Viewer)

my biggest one is people talking so loud I can barely hear the movie. I was trying to watch A Christmas Story during the holidays at my mental health center, and there were people who obvs didn't give a crap about the movie and were having full-on conversations. I couldn't enjoy it bc of that.

I can't go to the movies with my parents because they provide running commentary and then ask "what'd that character say?" I don't know, you were talking!!

I'm really easily distracted so I only watch movies I'm actually interested in alone. The most distracting thing I see in theatres is people eating, there's nothing more distracting to me than loud chewing and a strong smell of food, I'm not talking about a bit of candy (although that can be distracting too) but when people bring a full meal. I'm also a bit of a clean freak and I feel nauseous when I notice people eating around me, like it's getting all over my clothes and I see sauce and grease running down their hands..

a dead audience
audience not paying attention, being loud, disruptive, etc. is annoying but I feel like one of the greatest joys of cinema is experiencing it with other people so when they're giving nothing... yeah I may as well watched it at home

When people in the movies look too similar to each other. It can become difficult for me to keep track of who’s who in the movie, and that can be important
