not my ass running out of ideas for posts lmfao. can't you tell? :/ anyway, what are some fears you are scared of or cautious about in kpop and the more you're a fan of it the more you see coming true? for me, i think it's how AI is incorporating itself into kpop and music videos. yes i know AI is in everything now and it sucks, but in kpop is even worse because south korea is known to be a country where their technology is very advanced and it makes me think we're going to see genuine terrifying deepfakes of idols that are permanently made to damage their careers from haters and cruel people. I think of idols like sulli and goo hara, whom im relived that they don't have to worry about the hate and scrutiny anymore...but that won't stop haters from doing cruel stuff with ai to defame them. if ai was around when these girls were still alive it would've ended badly for them, and i mean it would've been worse than their deaths even though their deaths were saddening but you get what i am saying here. another one i have is how crazy these so called fans are.

also, when idols arrive at airports, it's incredibly common for idols to be straight up surrounded by fans and literally mobbed by them just from coming off a airplane. there have been cases of bodyguards and managers pushing fans to the ground, even smashing their cameras and literally using brute force just to protect the idol. this kind of stuff can literally cause physical riots to appear at an actual airport...where idols aren't the only ones at an airport and it's only a matter of time until these so called crazy fans trample regular people. at this point i am all for these bodyguards and managers using physical violence and almost anything necessary to make sure these idols aren't hurt or regular people on the process. Kpop has to be the worst thing for this kind of arrival. kpop has been the only musical genre i've seen where fans are genuinely unhinged and insanely obsessed with their idols. i know non kpop celebrities have these crazy fans too but kpop is a whole different breed. in all seriousness, companies and ig the airports themselves need to hire full on swat teams just for these sorts of arrivals because anyone is in danger during these events.

For recent developments AI is the big one, it's going to take some time before a good system for safety and management is in place not only in music but all aspects of life. There are going to be a lot of unforeseen repercussions for the next few decades that can only be dealt with as they come.

Cameras at live performances concern me, they might have been around for a long time but they are a lot more accessible now and everything is in HD. There are also tools that allow you to brighten darkness and see through thin clothing which are becoming more advanced.
I'm glad most idols seem to take these things seriously and wear modesty shorts, pasties, etc but I've seen some very close calls recently. Companies and stylist are going to have to be more responsible with this because it could cost somebody more than their job.

kpop is slowly becoming more westernised as more songs contain even more English - obviously I understand the rationale behind it since that's exactly where the money is however I much prefer the "koreanness" of the songs (if that makes sense)
