I don’t get the craze for them honestly. They’re expensive and there are a lot of fakes out there too. And don’t get me started on scalpers..
If you don’t know what a Labubu is, they look like this -

I personally don’t think they are worth the hype, but a lot of people seem to love them. Even Blackpink’s Lisa loves them

Also, there is an anime character getting their own Labubu for over $1200

They look ugly and they're destined to end up in landfills.

I've tried to be a lot more mindful of my own consumption after watching the documentary "Buy Now!" which made the point that everything that is produced will end up in our air, in our water, and in our earth.

They're these monster stuffed animal things that many people are obsessed with right now. They come in blind boxes too so you never know which one you will get

personally find them ugly but can see the appeal, but not to the current lengths cute though I do find the people who get mad about their popularity funny
like it's just plastic collectible toys, men who are into tgc have no right to laugh when they're doing just as much over paper lbr

first of all they look cursed
second of all that whole craze over them feels like another microtrend where people spend an absurd amount of money on shit they don't need (like the most expensive ones cost more than three months of rent in my area) only so they can feel good about owning the cool new thing™ only to throw it in the trash when it's no longer the talk of the town, at least when the trend was fidget spinners they were accessible to everyone lol

I am not a big fan of them. Never had an interest in monster like toys. How is this the next big thing to over consume

just give it a year or two and people will not care anymore. it's just another overconsumption trend that doesn't mean anything.
