i'm currently really stressed about my national exams so i'd like to hear some university stories to motivate me

if all goes well, i'll be starting uni in 3 months. i'm excited because high school was hell and it's finally over but i'm also terrified because i'm from a small town so i'll have to take the train to a big city every day and walk around by myself.

i'm not ready to grow up

Uni is actually not that different from school for me....except I live in a dorm with friends now so that's pretty fun, also there are no uniforms, and I don't know about your place but phones were not allowed in our schools but we can use them in uni...


But you get to meet a lot of new and different people in uni so that's kinda fun, all the best for your exams though I hope you get into a good uni uwu

Lots of good parties and chances to get friends with common hobbies like you have
And also it's easier to skip classes than it was in highschool Also most of the projects and exams are in the same time, but I rarely got other tests or homeworks so less things to do after classes

well, my high school has no uniforms and it does allow phones but not in the classroom. dorms sound suuuuper fun though, i wish we had them in universities in my country but i'm just gonna be stuck riding the train every day lolol, at least i'll get to visit a new city often.

yesss i'm really excited to meet interesting people in university. but i really hope i bump into a cool outgoing person on my first day because i'm sooooo shy, i don't think i'll be able to make any friends on my own

i'll try not to get addicted to skipping class

completely forgot that university cafeterias were a thing. the food better be nicer than the one in my high school cafeteria, i've survived this long without dying of food poisoning, i deserve good meals

You will, don’t worry. I met my bestfriend in the first day of college and we were bestfriends for almost 4 years. I just told her that her hair is cool lol. Think that everybody will be new so most of them will be ready to make friends

I think the best part is that it's not high school

1. Schedules are more customizable and there is courses you can take that probably will never be offered in high school! The English department had a whole class on Harry Potter at my university.

2. Free stuff! Free access to certain games, free food at events, free other things from clubs and etc.

3. Skipping class. If you take a huge lecture (100-300 or more) and they post powerpoints to the class website and have you take tests online you don't even have to bother going.

4. You can schedule your classes to not begin at the crack of dawn. Legit think waking up at a reasonable hour is what has made me get better grades in college vs high school. Also, I care about the classes more lol

Tbh even the fire and brimstone pastors that come and tell everyone they are going to hell are pretty entertaining. I liked the one that carried around a giant sign that all you saw was "DOOM" in big bolded letters from faraway

here in germany you are pretty free in everything when it comes to a university. you can do whatever with your schedule, don’t have to attend each and every class ...
